Camp Cahinnio

For girls entering 1st - 12th grades & Adult Female

Troops come all: big and small! Choose from climate-controlled cabins, platform tents or hammocks by the lake. Summer camp staff will provide programming, age appropriate cookouts, hiking, swimming, lake time, target sports, crafts, singing and more. Venture Out II is not required; Adult Girl Scout membership is required

Troop weekends are all about CHOICE! Girls sign up for their favorite activity based on what is offered each day. Options might include target sports, canoeing, swimming, canoeing, hiking, arts and crafts, science activities, yoga, kayaking, nature activities, cooking, dancing, creative writing and MORE! Housing: Broken Arrow, Tipi, or Outpost: These units vary in housing, from 2-6 girls per dwelling. Camp counselors stay nearby in the unit.  See housing description for full details. To accommodate maximum capacity, leaders will sleep in separate but adjacent cabins to girls. Girls and leaders may share housing with other members of other troops. If adults prefer to stay in cabins with girls, please consider registering for Just the Two of Us or one of our other family camps.

About Camp Cahinnio: Camp Cahinnio is nestled on nearly 400 acres of woodlands near Booneville in west central Arkansas and includes 23-acre Lake Takima, swimming pool, archery and BB gun range, crafts pavilion, hiking trails, air-conditioned dining hall and four separate living units for campers. Camp Cahinnio is known for its watersports, for those who love to boat and swim! Lake Takima is a great place for campers to practice canoe skills and try their hand at sailing. Camp Cahinnio hosts river trip opportunities for girls entering 7th grade and above who have basic canoeing knowledge. Camp Cahinnio also offers traditional camp activities such as hiking, arts and crafts, cooking outdoors, singing and more! 

A Day at Camp: 

7:15 am Rise and Shine!

8 am Flag Raising Ceremony

 8:15 am Breakfast

9 am-noon Morning Activity Rotations - Mornings are spent on campers' chosen themed sessions (various weekly themes are available to each age group at each property - read on in this guide to discover more!), as well as a daily Red Cross swim lesson

12 pm Lunch

1 pm Turtle Time - Relax in your living space with new friends.

2-6 pm Afternoon Activity Rotations - Afternoons are all about CHOICE! From arts and crafts to boating, hiking, STEM projects, creative writing, fire has something for every girl!

6 pm Flag Retiring Ceremony

6:15 pm Dinner

7 pm All-Camp Activity - This may be a dance or pool party, talent show or team game.

8 pm Showers

10 pm Lights Out!

Cancellation Policy
Refund of camp fees (excluding $50.00 deposit and membership fee) will be given to those who cancel up to 14 days prior to the starting date of their session. Cancellations made less than 14 days prior will receive a refund (excluding the deposit) only if accompanied by a doctor's statement of illness. Camper fees will not be refunded if a camper leaves a session due to homesickness or misconduct. Camper fees will not be refunded if camper arrives with head lice. Camperships are not refundable. Cookie Bucks can be refunded or transferred, before the expiration date, to other event fees or merchandise.
